It seems that if a folder contains file names beginning with a 0 (zero), they break the function that turns folder thumbnails into CD cases when a folder.jpg is present.
Can someone please see if they can reproduce this?

well yes, i do this with single-track albums, but the situation here seems to be a bug in the detection system. renaming the files that begin with a 0 fixes the problem...
What are those files? Audio files or something else? I think the detection only looks at the first few files in a folder (or it used to work that way, at least) so if you change the order of files it may affect whether or not the folder is auto-detected as a music folder.
ah, now it makes sense. you're spot on, they were log and cue files, not audio files. that's why renaming them did the trick.
