Folder Tree current folder highlighting

Hello,
please try the following:

  • create a folder with subfolders
  • make sure the subfolders are expanded in folder view.
  • navigate to the original folder so that folder is highlighted in folder tree (full row in my case)
  • now, on the right pane (not folder tree), double click one of the subfolders in order to navigate there.
  • as a result, the highlighting of the folder tree should move to the subfolder.

This behavior does not work on network drives (in my case: in windows 11 developer in a parallels VM navigating the MacOS folder system which is shown as a network drive in Windows by Parallels)

I am using the latest DOpus. DOpus seems to work without issues on Windows 11 for ARM, by the way.

Does it also happen with Windows 10, or only with 11?

I booted an old Snapshot of Windows 10, but now I noticed I cannot reliably reproduce it. Also in Windows 11 it did work now, after a reboot. But before that reboot it repeatedly did not work (and only on the network drive). I did several tests. And when it did not work, it still did work in other circumstances where the tree highling has to change. That's why I described in detail.

The only thing I can do now is ask users of regular Windows 10 installations to pay close attention to the folder tree highlighting whilst navigating network drives (PrlSF here) and report if they notice abnormal behavior.

Also, I do not expect any support of Windows pre-release versions, I was just asking you to check if it also does not work on Windows 10 release version. I did not expect that it would be a bug that cannot reliably be reproduced which now complicates things.

But I think the fact that it sometimes works does not point very much to it being a Windows pre-release version bug, but possibly indeed rather some weird refresh-related bug withing DOpus or something? Anyway, let's wait if it will re-occur again, I will report then and perhaps I can find out more.
