Forcing Directory Opus to Refresh Folder Sizes When Everything Starts

When I launch Everything after Opus, folder sizes don't show up unless I restart or relaunch Opus.
Is there any way to make Opus detect that Everything is now running and start retrieving folder sizes, without having to restart it?

FWIW, here's my related config:

It shouldn't need a restart - just refreshing the folder should make it read the sizes once Everything is running. But we can make this happen automatically in the next beta.

Thanks, Jhon.
I should've mentioned that a regular refresh (Go REFRESH) doesn't trigger Everything's detection either.

FYI, on v13.18.1 and EV v1.5.0.1396, most of the time the issue mentioned in the main post doesn't occur as often.

When it does happen: (this was already happening long before the initial report; I'm just adding related info):

  • You can run searches with Everything from Opus' UI as well as via scripting, including EverythingInterface.
  • In EverythingInterface some methods and properties (e.g. version or Indexed(path)) don't work as it should.

All of this is fixed by shutting down/restarting Opus.

Also, as a sidenote, with the Folder Sizes configuration shown in the first post, if Everything closes while Opus is open, folders start getting their sizes the normal way, as if "Calculate folders sizes automatically..." were turned on when it's not. This only stops after exiting/restarting Opus.

We've made a couple of changes, see how you go in the next beta.

Thanks :face_holding_back_tears:

This seems a lot better. Recognition is almost instant now. Many thanks!
