This is a three button.
Left Click: Lock folder format
Right click: Unlock folder format
Middle Mouse button: Reset format to what the folder would be as unlocked (I think).

In the first button set a new path for the icons, to be dynamic.

This is so you could get rid of the format lock on the status bar if you want, and put this button wherever. I have it beside my format box. And to have a dynamic unlock icon instead of a highlight. But you lose the format info the status lock provides. I don't know how to put that in a button.
