FTP addressbook button does not show up

I've tried to plant FTP Addressbook button either in toolbar or menu but once I finish editing menu/toolbar and accept the changes, final menu/toolbar does not show this button, even it's there when I try to edit it again. What am I doing wrong?

What command do you have assigned to the button?

Go FTPSITELIST

That should turn into a list of your FTP sites. (If you want the list in a menu, the command should be in a menu and not directly on the toolbar.)

If it turns into nothing at all, do you actually have any FTP sites in your bookmarks?

If you want a button which opens the FTP bookmarks editor, the command is Prefs FTPSITES (which you can find most easily by looking at what's in the default FTP menu).

That is a dynamic command which generates a list of your configured FTP sites (and if you don't have any FTP sites configured, will show nothing out of Customize mode).

The command you want to open the addressbook is Prefs FTPSITES.

Thanks. It works. I just assume that Go FTPSITELIST would show me FTP address book despite of the content (and i was empty). Prefs FTPSITES works

BTW: where dopus keeps FTP settings (which file?)

/dopusdata\ConfigFiles\ftp.oxc and ftpdef.oxc

how is password scrambled/encoded?

If you're asking because you need to see the passwords, there's an option to show them in plain-text in the FTP Address Book (which may be protected by your "global password", if you've set one in the same place).

If you're asking because you want to know how secure the encryption is, it isn't secure at all and could never be since Opus itself can unscramble the passwords (so anyone else could just run Opus itself or the same algorithm from inside of Opus). The scrambling is just to deter casual observers and if you want better security a password manager like Keepass (or your memory) should be used.
