We are having issues logging into our FTP drive via the Main log In, can't log in like we normally do nothings changed. We get a Error message trying to log in using the Main FTP Icon, our user names&passwords haven't changed.
So the only way to get into the ftp is via the mapped drives see screenshot.
The error message says "See FTP log for more details."
What's in the FTP log? (Tools -> Output Window -> FTP)
Opening Connection xxxxxx.dyndns.org:21
FD_CONNECT - WSAETIMEDOUT: Connection timed out
Cannot Connect to Site.
But when connecting via the mapped drives and using login no issues.
Can you ping the same site?
How is this done via comm prompt.
Are you sure the mapped drive is trying to connect to the same site/IP?
The mapped driveconnect with no issues.
Have you tried restarting Opus in case its process had cached the dynamic IP and it's now changed, or anything odd like that?
Yes restarted a few times.
What happens with other FTP clients?
Do you mean other users?
When I said the Output Window was obsolete I meant in the context of sending Find Results to it. The rest of the Output Window is still useful.
Hope they won't remove it then its useful for that.
Yes, but have you double-checked that it configured to connect to the same thing you're connecting to in Opus?
I think we have done this can you explain a little more.
No, other FTP programs, e.g. Filezilla.
No because DOpus is used as our FTP program.
That screenshot doesn't show anything about the site you're connecting to.
I've already given several suggestions of things to try above. Have you tried any of them? e.g. The FAQ I linked to, trying alternative FTP clients, telling us whether or not you have firewall software installed or comparing the setup of your mapped drives to that of Opus (for the FTP site you're trying to connect to, not the global settings page you're showing which is mostly irrelevant).
That screenshot doesn't show anything about the site you're connecting to.
I was thinking maybe the settings here have gone for some reason.

Can download and try a alternative FTP clieent but really don't like installing stuff unless we really have to. Disabled our firewall eset smart security just for good measure and also checked windows which is always disabled.
The mapped drives go to the same FTP site as Opus Main is trying to connect to as well.
Could a Windows Update break the DOpus ftp client for anyreason....

Well, his ping results for "xxxxxx.dyndns.org" showed he couldn't communicate to it (timed out same as Opus), so I'm assuming either their DNS was wrong or stale with an old IP address, and after looking at the "working" mapped drive buttons they updated their FTP settings or something similar?
