Ftp ownership

Hello,

There is a way to show the owner of a file in a ftp lister?

something like user (UID), owner (GID) column.

nobody(99),user(501)

I added a column to show the complete permissions (owner, group, world), but I cant show owner and group names.

thank you.

I don't think there's a way to do this at the moment.

Do FTP sites report the owner names as standard? I can't remember. I guess it should be possible with SSH sites since any shell command can be run with them.

ok, yes I think a standard ftp can do that (but I dont have read the full ftp RFC's .
If I use the ftp command in a dos prompt (WinXP) and I type "dir" I get complete attributes, UID, GID, size and filename.

Maybe I can add a feature request somewhere

This would be a great improvement for me. With this I can easily recognise user nobody files generated by a webserver, and use the power of diropus to administer them

Owner Group fields for FTP and SFTP

I've had a play around with this. So, if you are a registered user, please contact me directly and quote your registration number and I'll see what I can do for you:)

Owner and Group columns for FTP/SFTP have been added in the 8.2.2.4 release: [Directory Opus 8.2.2.4)
