However, using the mouse back button or the DOpus Go BACK function causes two toolbars to simply disappear. These toolbars are part of every one of my layouts and toolbar sets.
Extra toolbars should only appear with prescribed folder formats. I expect the toolbars to revert to the basic format (no set folder format for the toolbars other than the layout itself) in the first screenshot when using the Go BACK function. Instead, the bottom toolbars disappear and the right vertical toolbar remains.
Is Preferences / Layouts and Styles / Layouts / Ignore toolbars saved within this layout on for the layout that is being used? You probably want it to be on, if the aim is to tie everything to folder formats.
Turning on Ignore folder formats saved within this layout for the layout as well will probably also simplify things.
Those options do the exact opposite of what I want DOpus to do. I've only tied toolbars/toolbar sets to about 10 folders. Everything else should go to the default format for the layout. However, the default folder format has no option for toolbars/toolbar sets.
You probably don't want the layout to be involved in the folder formats or toolbars at all.
If you want everything to be determined by the folders, and the formats saved for each folder (or the default format if none is saved for a folder), then you would normally want to turn on both options, else additional format and toolbar settings saved in the layout itself will interfere.
Just to clarify, the issue isn't limited to Go BACK. It also occurs with Go UP. Seems like just leaving the folder causes the issue.
Is the alternative to simply apply a toolbar set to every folder? That doesn't make sense to me. Clearly, I'm missing something.
That's not what I want at all. I have five toolbar sets:
Baseline: Used as my everyday set; assigned to my primary lister layout and style
Books: Applies to 6 major folders and associated subfolders
Images: Applies to 2 major folders and associated subfolders
Other Books: Applies to one major folder and associated subfolders
DO 12 Default: not assigned to anything
I want to use the Baseline toolbar set for everything except the 9 folders associated with the Books, Images and Other Books folders. If I go to one of those folders, I want the set to open (it does). If I go back or otherwise exit the folder to another folder (not one of the nine tied to the other toolbar sets), then I want to return to the Baseline toolbar set. One would think this would be associated with the default folder format, which is not adjustable from a toolbar perspective (hard coded to g o with DO 12 default set, I presume).
