It would have been nice if Dopus folder/field columns had a GUI funtionality to include the new group-by function ... like a toggle field/button to change the behaviour of the columns from "sort by" to "group by" .. I hate remembering shortcuts

Make a button with
Set GROUPBY=grouplist not what I am looking for because it doesn't switch between the 2 modes single and group.
But grouping and sorting are separate things.
For example, you can be grouped by age and sorted by size, which would mean within each age-range group the files would be sorted by size.
I guess there could be a command which toggled between ungrouped and grouped-by-sort-field, if that's what you mean? Send a feature request if so.
What you want is impossible, because to just say "group" is not possible. Group by what (see Screenshot of the possible values)???
What you can do is define a button for a predefined group and another button with
Set GROUPBY=off 
Actually I was thinking that there would be a toggle on the file list bar (perhaps) between group and ungrouped.... when grouped is chosen the header/field column, when clicked, would not only sort ascending/ descending by toggleing but it would also control the groupby function at the same time so one could click from "group by name" to "group by date" merely by clicking the column header (it would have to default to ascending or descending groupby to begin with in order for the toggle to still work .... and the sort I guess could only sort the group and no longer the name ..... how that would/could work I can't figure out)).
The context menu associated with right clicking the bar at the top of the display includes Sort By and Group By...

Yes, I have that ... but that is slow to use .... see above comments .... I was suggesting a more interactive implementaion thru the GUI

Are you using Opus 10? (It only just came out today.)

@leo: I ll prefer to assume you are implying there are that many people that are lost in the clouds and not that many people that dumb. We re in a topic about the brand new version of dopus 10... 
@hpearce: yeap, that did it, I had a custom configuration and had to revert to the default context menu... thx!
