Have thumbnails for new extension type

Hello, I need some help, I have folders with .media extension format
and I want to have thumbnails on those files but I dont know how to
add this extension in your software to be able to see thumbnail also
for these files, thanks you very much, take care!

What type of files are they?

Has anyone written a thumbnailer for them? One which works in File Explorer should also work in Opus.

Hello Leo, video type, .media extension. I dont know if it exist some thumbnail, but for others video files, apear first sentence/ frame for each movie as a thumbnail.

Which software/hardware created these files?

There are from a ip camera. Video files

There may not be a thumbnailer for them. From what I've read, IP cameras that output .media files tend to output the video without a container or in a nonstandard format which usually requires conversion to MP4 or MKV.

It's possible there is a thumbnailer for them, since ffmpeg seems to understand them (at least for some cameras), but I couldn't find one from a quick search. It's quite hard to search for, though.

Any thumbnailer for them which works in File Explorer should also work in Opus, so none of this is specific to Opus. Asking on one of the forum dedicated to video software may find people who know more.

Hmmm, and do you know how to convert to mp4? Thanks
I have to open them. But is strange, because few of them had thumb in explorer, but not in Opus :frowning:
