Hide a column in the file list view

The configuration options are bit bewildering for me. I don't know where to start searching in the help or FAQ.

All I want to do is to hide the file 'Type' column in the list of files. I want to do this always, in every Opus window I have open.

Where in the system can I make that adjustment?

Should be all you need: "Folder Formats: Quick Guide -- Set the view mode, columns etc. used for all directories."
