Hide ~WRL*.tmp files

Hi. I've used Directory Opus for years, but I am hardly what anyone would call a power user. Anyhoo, I'm trying to hide all of the ~WRL*.tmp files that MS Word creates in the same folders in which I keep my .doc files.

I've already tried using the settings/customize/commands/view/hide files filter button, but I can't get it to hide my target files. It works fine to hide any other type of file I try, but not the ~WRL.tmp files.

I have also tried editing the settings in the folder formats, content type formats, default formats, and favorite formats under settings/preferences/folder formats/, but I can't get those settings to hide the ~WRL*.tmp files, either. I've read the FAQs, the help files, and searched this forum, but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I would appreciate any insights that others might have. Thank you.

~ means "not" with Opus wildcards, so you have to escape it. Try this:

`~WRL*.tmp

(That's a "backtick", not a single-quote. It's the top-left key on my keyboard.)

That seems to have done the trick. Thank you!
