Hiding desktop.ini under Desktop

It took me long enough, but I finally upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate after using XP for, well, forever. Here's my question:

I have a filter set to hide desktop.ini files. This filter works for all of my drives, except I have 2 desktop.ini files sitting on my desktop that are not hidden. How do I go about hiding them?

Turning off Preferences / Folders / Virtual Folders / Desktop: Operating system files is the easiest thing to do.

My settings as follow. The two desktop.ini files are hidden on my desktop.
