Highlight first file/folder after I press enter?

Hi,
I like to use the keyboard to navigate. I will press Enter to open a folder. When the folder is opened, the first file/folder is not highlighted, meaning I have to press space bar to highlight it, only then can I open that file/folder by pressing Enter again. Is there a way to have the first file/folder highlighted everytime I enter into a folder?

Try

Preferences / File Displays / Options / Automatically select first file in folder (except in Power Mode)

and/or

Preferences / File Display Modes / Power Mode / Automatically select first file in folder
