Is there a function in DO that I could put on hotkey that would take me back to, or through if multiple, file(s) after they've been scrolled out of view??
In a large dir with hundreds of files its to easy to select something. look around and lose what you've selected.
Which also lead me to a cosmetic ui feature request.
To have a line marker appear under the scroll bar of where the selection is. Similar to how FAYT highlights its matches. Love that feature!! it's the 1st think I check, the scroll bar, when using it.
unlike the fayt makers it should or could, when turned on, always be present.
rather than the short highlights it could be a thinner line that spans the full width of the scrollbar, similar to the current cursor line markers in text editors.
logistically, one selected item could be easy to render, now sure how it would or could look with ranges or multiple selected files\files. that being said, id be happy with one line for an initial selection.
I'm often scrolling thru hundreds of image options where I only need one at time.
e.g. I added this blue line
Being able to look at the scrollbar and see where and if there is a selection present would come in very handy. As already mentioned, the find-as-you-type highlighting in the scrollbar makes it obvious, that this kind of highlighting would make sense for the regular selection as well.
I probably would use my button "Scroll to Selection" much less, which I think is a good thing! o)
