How 2 : emptying previous search results

Hereunder I describe two annoying things I'm confronted with, lately.

1 = a failing search result
2 = a sticky search result, erronymous !

action: DOpus opens a mini-window labelled: "Find - Directory Opus" .

Field: "Name Mathing" : is and remains empty

Field: " Containing text" : my input is for example [COLOR=#F70000]

Type: selection file tipe = txt.file

Output:

  1. way too much *
  • txt. files which dó contain and
  • txt. files who do nót containt the looked for string : " [COLOR=#F70000] "

Next problem:
A new search does contain (keep) the previous results .. .. ..
Why does the output window, even after 'clearing manually' return next times with the same rubbish ?

My way of entering these troubles :
Ending / quittting DOpus, exit TSR (bottom-right at tastkbar)
re-starting DOpus from Start / Programs / GPSoftware ....

Is there a solution for this? Corruption of install, or did I overlook something ?
An easy - accessible help-e-mail address or ?

  1. The [ ] # characters are probably being interpreted as pattern matching characters. Try searching for this instead:

[COLOR=#F70000`]

  1. Send the output to a File Collection (default one is "Find Results") instead of the Output Window. You can then parent up from the collection and delete it when you no longer want the results.

Don't delete the files inside the collection as that will delete the actual files. Deleting the collection itself, though, doesn't delete the actual files. There is also a button for removing individual files from a collection if you need that.

Also, you might want to try Tools -> Find Panel for a Find tool that's integrated into the lister, instead of a separate window.

That's a nice surprice nudel ! Fast! reply :slight_smile: I've other priorities right now, but nó doubt, I'll take the time and invest in some try-out and investigation.

Thank you :exclamation:
