How do I keep changes I make like sorting, width of columns etc?

Hello,

I've been having trouble with my window settings. Every time I make changes and close the window, everything reverts back to default when I open it again. Do you know how I can keep my changes permanently?

Thanks, how can I make the sorting so that the folders are not always first? For example if I sort by date I want the latest file as first position not the folder?

In the folder options, in the second tab, under sorting options, you find the option "sort files first".
