How do I use SetAttr? and Slow response to right-click

Hello, I am using the evaluation version and getting to know the program. I have two 'problems' at the moment.

The first is that some files and folders on my system have the 's' attribute and should not. For example, I customised the icons for certain folders (using the tools in XP itself) and these now all have the 's' attribute. If I reset the icon to the default, the 's' attribute remains and the description stays red in DOpus. I have found a command in the help file which should do what I want (SetAttr), but I don't know how to use it. Can someone help?

The second problem is that if I right-click on an item in Opus (to get the context menu), it can take up to 30 seconds (!) before the menu opens. The second and subsequent times that I right-click, the menu appears more quickly (even if I click on a different item than the first one) but can still take 3 - 7 seconds. I have tried this on folders with many/few files and with antivirus and spyware scanners turned off, but the delay remains. Any ideas why this may be?

Thanks for any help you can offer. Felixia

BTW, this program is great! I can dump a whole lot of little utilities now that DOpus is on the job.

Select one or more files that you want to alter the attributes of, then go to the menu command of FILE/FILE COMMANDS/SET ATTRIBUTES. That should pop up a dialog box where you can set various attributes relating to what you have selected. Note the very top two rows in that box, they interact with each other. The lower row clears (resets) an attribute, while the upper one sets the attributes.

In regards to your second question try going to the menu command of TOOLS/PREFERENCES and in there goto MISCELLANEOUS/WINDOWS INTEGRATION and check the "Hide Windows items on file context menus" option. That usually speeds the context menus up significantly. With that option checked if you sometimes do want to see the Windows context menus, just hold down SHIFT while you right click and all of them will appear.

Thank you very much! There are so many options and functions in DOpus, I might never have found these two. Both worked perfectly; the speed-up in the right-click menu is particularly noticeable.
