How to change format of modified/creation timestamp when no access to Windows setting?

How can I format the display of modified (and creation) timestamp when there is no access to Windows settings to change the format?

For business reasons all > 10000's workstations are not allowed to change the format because of Excel, CSV and other tools using this format (bad programming). To avoid troubles with auto-formatin of dates, etc. it's deactivated everywhere.

This is horrible for me as DO user (and software developer) when I see sorted by modified timestamp and see the German/Austrian format dd.MM.yyyy and not the international format YYYY-MM-DD. :wink:

Needless to say I have no chance that people who decides this (If I can find them) would allow to change this setting. :wink:

So it would be great if DO could support formatting the values and not only take the Windows settings.

Preferences / Miscellaneous / Advanced [Information Display]: custom_date_format, custom_date_format_long and custom_time_format.
