How to make a fixed search button?

Hi. I'm trying to make a button that will do an asterisk search / instantly search for all files recursively in the current directory. I tried but didn't succeed in figuring it out. Help appreciated!

Have you tried Flat View? That may already do what you want without needing to create a button:

I guess this does the trick. I made it so I can click the button to toggle grouped view on or off.
