How to number filenames in a folder for a printout

I know how to print a listing of the filenames in a folder via Tools\Print Folder. How can I make the listing to be consecutively numbered?

1 Filename_A
2 Filename_B
3 Filename_C
4 Filename_D
...etc.

It's probably there somewhere and I just haven't seen it.

I don't think there is a way to do that directly. However, you can use the Print Folder feature to create a text file or a CSV file and then add the line numbers using a text editor (with macros) or Excel or similar.
