How to reset this irritating item

One day while prowling thru the setting and options of opus, I set something that causes a little left pointing arrow to appear when you hover the mouse long enough on a directory. It has a place to set a time to wait too. It defaulted to 400 (I think milliseconds) and I thought I'd try it on that setting.

It tuned out to be about 2 times too fast for me, and so constantly interferes with directory related things, and has become a major irritant of my own making

I went back to reset it and lengthen the time or turn it off, but after 4 lengthy and tedious looks thru the preferences, expanding them one by one, somehow I am not finding the item. I've done it 5 times now, counting just now again, and for some reason I'm simply blind to that setting.

Can anyone recognize what and where the setting is from my description?

The option is called "slide-out navigation buttons", use the Prefs filter to find it.

You are an absolute saint... I was on the verge of jumping off then end of the pier.

Also, you've supplied another great tip... I had never noticed the filtering mechanism. But without knowing names like you supplied, not much help in this case. But I can imagine it being a great help on things with more common names.
