How to switch source in dual display mode as the mouse hover

hi, i am new to dopus ..
i am using dual display mode in which two folders are displayed side-by-side.
Is there a way to switch source in dual display mode as the mouse hovers i.e make the side as source where my mouse is so that i dont have to click to activate it..
that would be the same function as the tab key can be made to do in lister options ,
looking forward to replies..thanx in advance

The only way is to turn on Settings -> Preferences -> Listers -> File Display: Single click to open an item (point to select - does not apply to Power mode) and then hover over an item.

That will change the selection as well as which side is source/dest, though. Not sure if it's what you want.

If you're just looking for a way to set one side as source without the click changing the selection, click on the file display border. That's the coloured bar above each file display which shows the path, close button, etc.

Clicking on the Status bar will also toggle source/dest.

It's also possible to create hotkeys or toolbar buttons todo the same thing if you wish.

Thanks leo for replying , yup it can be done in power mode but i dont quiet like working in power mode, maybe when i ll be more comfortable with dopus i may switch to it ..

but that function should be made available , it ll really simplify working ..

You mean Point-to-Select? That can't be done on Power mode but can be done in all the other modes.

(I don't use Power mode myself, BTW.)

Actually i use a cordless mouse which has back & forward buttons ,so when i press the back button on the mouse it sends me to the parent folder (finding & clicking the back arrow is a little pain for me) on the activated side only even if the mouse hovers over the other side ,
similarly i can scroll using the mouse wheel on the activated side only even if i hover over the other {UNACTIVATED} side
I have to click on the other side or press the tab key to activate the other side.
the problem is not point-to-select..i hope i am clear

I use "single-click to open an item", but when a lister is in dual-display mode, hovering over it will not make it active when the "Hover to switch source/destination state" option is on. I wish it would do that, though, or perhaps optionally do that. It would be more consistent and desireable, rather than surprising and annoying, behavior, IMO.

Update: When a non-Opus window is the active window, and the mouse hovers over an Opus lister, it causes the Windows taskbar to appear if the taskbar is auto-hide. This is makes the "Hover to switch option" a no-go for me. It looks like an area that needs more user testing and development.
