Is there any way to change the space alloted for the text that appears under the icons in the large icon view? In Windows XP, this is done via right-clicking on the desktop and choosing Properties>Appearance>Advanced>Item:Icon Spacing (Horizontal) and setting the Size: as desired.
I am using version 9.1.0.3 under Windows XP.
You can adjust it in thumbnails mode (Preferences - Lister Display Modes - Thumbnails Mode: Label lines) but not in Large Icons mode, if the Windows setting has no effect.
PS: 9.1.0.3 is almost a year old. Please upgrade to a current version. 9.5 is a free update to all legit owners of 9.x.
Thank you for your reply. P. 24 of the version 9 manual mentions a major change in the way Large Icon mode is handled, so perhaps I should go back to version 8 rather than update to 9.5 (;).
