Icon View font shadow - newbie question

Hi;

I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere - but I can't find it.
How do I turn off font shadowing in the Icon View?

Thanks

Mark

It might be the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop setting which is in the System control panel, Advanced tab, under Performance.

If that doesn't change it then it may be down to the colours of the labels and background.

Leo;

Thanks for your reply.
You fixed the problem! I had "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" turned on in the system settings. While I now have readable Icon View text my desktop is nasty looking.
I am surprised at the Opus Icon view as the Microsoft Explorer Control Panel and Icon view displays the icons without any shadowing.

Thanks again.

Mark

My Opus doesn't have shadows under the labels.

My desktop doesn't either if I've set the wallpaper to a solid colour rather than an image. Maybe that's the key.
