Icons and backup and restore

Just trying to understand how backup and restore works with icons. I did a backup and restore without selecting
"Replace existing configuration completely"

So on the restore, what exactly happens with the icons ? Where does it put them by default from an .ocb file? once restored...
or do I need to do a separate backup of my own icons folder, my understanding from manual is that they are embedded into the backup file?

Thanks
Alan.

Which kind of icons are we talking about?

Opus icon sets?
Standalone .ico files?
Image files (.png, .gif, etc.)?
Icons from inside exe or dll files installed in your syatem?

Where are they stored originally when you create the backup?

Hi there,
.png files that I assign individually, I keep them in a separate user folder, not in any default locations.

Standalone PNG files used as toolbar icons will not be included in the backup unless they're inside icon sets (in the Icons folder) or stored somewhere like the User Data folder (where you can put anything you wish and all the contents are backed up).

Ok great... for other users, I copied my icon files to. . .
C:\Users\aeddie\AppData\Roaming\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\Icons

and then they are included in the backup . . .

Great - just remember to point your toolbar buttons that USE those icons to the new location...

What I did was I search and replaced paths for the icons in my .dop files for my toolbars/menus.
So all worked quickly and sorted.
