Icons in 'File Types' settings

Something's funny with 'File Types/Context Menu' file paths. At least for icons.
The icons are not always shown in the settings, but work in the actual right click menu.

No icons for 'FolderTimeUpdate' and 'Bash' in settings:

FolderTimeUpdate and Bash icons are visible in actual right click menu:

The FolderTimeUpdate icon points to C:/... somewhere, and the Bash one to /dopusdata/User Data/...

(Also: My memory is hazy and the details are lost in time, but... I think I once found that if the item's icon path pointed to D: drive, the icon did not work at all. But if I made a copy of the menu button and also (!) kept the original, the COPY's icon worked. I never found out what or how... Something's definitely not right though.)

Where do those icons come from? I.e. an exe, separate .ico file, ... ?

FolderTimeUpdate points to an .exe, the bash one points to an .ico file.

I just noticed that if I right click on a folder, the FolderTimeUpdate icon works, but if I click on empty space on the right from my columns, the icon is not shown.

Those are two different menus. The background right-click one is found in Settings > Customize Toolbars and Keys > Context Menus, then Folders at the top.

Thank you for the clarification Leo.

But I can't find the FolderTimeUpdate button here. In this case, its icon is correctly not being shown, since it points to an non-existing folder (it throws an error when ALT-clicked, showing the non-existing path). But where is this button defined?

The other icons now work in 13.7.8b, thanks!

It's probably coming from the Lister Context Menu item, which inserts any items into that menu which are specified by shell extensions (i.e. software other than Opus, which adds menu items to File Explorer and Opus).

Ah, yes, that makes sense. Let's see if I can fix that in some other way. Thanks!
