It would be really neat to have an ID3 tag editor built in Dopus. More and more people using portable mp3 players. And the search for a good and easy ID3 editor with a clean layout and functions like mass editing can be a pain in the a**. Dopus already got the best layout options and the best file handling. Just a thought. Mp3's is so common and I many people would be thrilled by this.
Have you actually looked at an mp3 file in the viewer pane?
Opus has an mp3 tag editor. It's no good for mass tagging exercises but for a few tracks here and there it works fine.
Yes I'm aware of that. Was a lousy written suggestion. Single file ID3 Tag editing is not a big problem for most of the people. But if you make your own "Best song albums" and mix various songs you have to edit every single file and change atleast the album tag so you easy can find and play it in an mp3 player. Editing single files works just fine in dopus. It works nicely in winamp and most of the media players aswell. It's when you wanna change several tracks the problems start. I know there's a bunch of applications out there doing the job just fine. But most people dont wanna pay $50US here and there for small applications that only do one thing. Dopus in the otherhand is already awesome with alot of mixed feutures. But I'd like to cut down all those small applications I got installed on my computer. Dopus handles most of my work already. Ftp, file handling, pictures and so on. To be honest I feel crippled now without dopus in vista. And I'm waiting for Dopus 9 alot. Gonna buy it as soon it realeases.
Keep up the great job!
I've split this thread and moved the discussion of ID3 tagging software to the Coffeeshop forum.
