Image convert longest=600

A quick thought, I'll write a little script for this when I have a moment, but thought I'd suggest the LONGEST parameter for IMG CONVERT as it seems to me it might be a useful addition for others.

Sometimes you want to resize photos so that the longest side is exactly a certain number, e.g.

  • landscape: convert to 600x450
  • portrait: convert to 450x600

Suggesting IMG CONVERT LONGEST=600

You can't get there with WIDTH= or HEIGHT=
You could get there with PERCENT=, but only if all source pictures have the same definition.

Thanks for considering it.

You can already do this:

Image CONVERT WIDTH=600 HEIGHT=600 PRESERVEASPECTRATIO

Wow, fantastic!
Thank you very much for the great tip.
