In DO folder view images are sorted by name.
But once you open first image, in bottom Picasa viewer you see that file order is messed up.
Yet I'm not sure if I messed up folder sorting, or it depends on filenames/types.
Resetting folder settings to defaults, looks like have no effect, guess I didn't messed settings that much.
Folder settings are:
Sorting by filename
[x] Numberic order filename sorting
[x] Sort names and extension separately
From other topics I read that these are main ones which can affect order.
Maybe this will help.
User opens folder, or extracts ZIP and navigate into folder via DO.
User opens first image from photoset, file order in Picasa is messed up.
User navigates into folder via Explorer.
Now file order is correct.
Opening same first file from DO, now creates correct file order in Picasa.
Thanks for info, now I know little more why this even happens.
Will keep track on DO changelogs, because guess nothing will be changed in Picasa due to software got abandoned by Google.
Old topic, but still I'm from time to time try to peak into this.
By accident found WinAPIOverride application which can monitor and show how apps interact.
Could this be it ?
On left file dropped into app via DO, files order in Picasa is "by modified"
On right - dropped into app via explorer, order of files now is "by name"
Seems I'm close but not exactly on spot. Hard to test it as when files are being opened executed via Explorer, these do behave properly via DO.
Need to have separate locations for both scenarios.
