Images Will not "Open With" Photoshop

Hello!

So, I've been having a problem with images not wanting to open with Photoshop even after I have told them to "open with" Photoshop as a the default file type. Instead they keep just opening in the Opus default image viewer. The only way to get images to open in Photoshop is to right click on them every time and tell them to open with Photoshop.

Now, this is part of a longer running issue with Windows and associating specific file types with Photoshop, but today's latest Windows update fixed that program but Opus is still causing problems. Gotta love Windows updates.

Please help!

Thanks,

What is Preferences / File Operations / Double-click on Files / Use internal picture viewer for... set to?

May I pick up on this "old" topic?

Is there a way to open (nearly) all image files with the internal viewer BUT .psd files?

The logic here being that .jpg, .png, .tif etc are "finished" file formats. I am happy to preview them. But .psd files are "working" files and it makes a lot of sense to open them in Photoshop always. Especially since the thumbnail-preview in the file browser gives me the basics.

Yes. Settings > File Types. Edit the PSD file type and make the left double-click event send the file to Photoshop.

"C:\Program Files...\Photoshop.exe" {filepath} should work as the command, replacing the exe path with the one for photoshop on your system.

Great thank you. I had not found that deep-link to set prefs for left click.
