Importing File Types from an old install

I recently had a drive fail on me and was forced to reinstall windows on a new drive. Luckily, the failure behaved in such a way that it allowed me enough time to copy nearly everything off my my drive to another so that I could have it available to import to the new install and save the time with configuring everything. I made backup files of opus, but it doesn't appear that the File Type's configurations copied over to the new install. I went through my backups and I have the ProgFiles, ProgFiles86, all of the AppData, and ProgData folders all copied from my old install.
I looked at the import/export function of the file type window, and exporting the configuration creates a .dft file. If i did not create one of these files, but i do however, have all of the .oxr files from the Filetypes folder in the AppData/Roaming from my old install, can I just copy/paste them to the new install, overwriting what I have in there? Will that act the same as importing the .dft file?

Yes, that should work.
