The logic/assumption is that people won't want the file display toolbar to change, since it will usually be the path field and a handful of other essentials that you'll always want to have (back/forward/parent).
Other toolbars may come & go to suit different tasks/contexts, but you'll always want a basic navigation buttons and a location field.
Well, so people want to re adjust all the toolbars, some popups but not a location bar replacer? I do not really believe...
And why not? I need it and, don't think i'm alone...
Here is my trouble (look at screenshot) - I could replace dual-explorer to the "light" version or even to static, but I can't.
Well, or add option "expand File Display border to the Folder Tree area..." or "expand File Display border to the Folder Tree area in dual display mode..."
Still no?
Nobody is forcing you to use the file display toolbar if you think it doesn't work with the window sizes and layouts you use. We left in the option to do things like Opus 10 did for those who don't like the new toolbar.
(But I'd also suggest that those file displays themselves are not wide enough to be very usable, even ignoring the toolbars entirely, and if you're using a 1400px window you might want to make the trees thinner or use one shared tree instead dual trees.)
