I tried suggestions from similar questions but neither worked. when I do a search the result pane had my normal columns, but NOT the Path column that should be included. I tired creating a wildcard:
Create a new Wildcard Path Format via Preferences / Folders / Folder Formats.
Set it up how you want.
Set the wildcard to coll://*Lister-Quick-Find-Results*/*.
Make sure Include columns from other matching formats is off for it.
I also made sure the collections folder format contained the Path column.
There are formats for Find Results and Search Results which will normally be used for them (unless some other format, e.g. for a specific collection, overrides).
The Location (Relative) column is normally added to them automatically when you save the default folder format.
It come from two places: Default for search results + wildcard path " * ".
If I go to the wildcard path "*" and check "include columns from other matching formats" THEN the Location column DOES appear.
I am not sure why I added that * wildcard. I think it was because I was getting other folder formats when I did not want them. Doing that prevented those from happening. Is there a way to make an exception for search and flat file formats so those cases include the Location but none of the others do?
I seldom use flat files and I just started using Everything so I am doing searches more now. That is why this was not a problem for me until now.
