Info about extending upgrade subscription

Hi,

I have a question about extending the upgrade subscription as the official FAQ lack this information:

I'd like to extend my current subscription to another 3 years (my actual expiration date is 2025-10-11).

If I extend now the subscription, I will keep the remaining days of my old subscription (in this case, my subscription will expire on 2028-10-11) or I am going to lose them (in that case, the new expiration date would be 2028-05-19)?

Thanks.

Just being curious, does the expiration date come along with a newer main version? And is there a web page, where i could look up how much it would cost (having a 5 place license)?

  1. No. Because expiration date is diffrent from each user and is based on which version is currently available. Which version you can use after the expiration date can be seen here Download Opus - Directory Opus Self-Service Support by typing you registration code.
  2. Licence Manager - Directory Opus Self-Service Support

Thanks. Regarding 1., i know, but there were many users updating right after 13 came out, that was my reference point. Also thanks for the links, they are very useful. I hope, that the release date of the newer version will be close to the expiration date, because transferring the fee is a bit of a hassle for me (i'd ask a friend again, who has Paypal, instead of dealing with my brazen bank, that charges ridiculous sums for a simple transfer to outside EU).

You mean major releases like v13, v14, v15?

The new subscription model means there are no longer minor/major releases. New features will be released whenever they're ready.

Did you miss the initial offer that was good for two years of updates?

Oh, ok. I must have read it at some point, but i'm so used to the old pattern, that my memory must have overwritten that setting.

So we're stuck on version of 13 forever? I don't mind, it's just numbers and i'm not superstitious.

Yes, it seems so. But i'm over-OCD-ish, when it comes to maintenance of my most important softwares.
