Just feedback, for me the font darkening looks weird.
Looks normal to me, but you can change all the colors to whatever you want now.

Where can I find these colors (inline renaming) in the prefs?
Inline rename is done via standard Windows edit controls, which use these colors, below Preferences / Colors and Fonts / Windows Colors:
Unselected text:
- Window contents / Text
- Window contents / Background
Selected text:
- Controls / Selected Items / Text
- Controls / Selected Items / Background
Keep in mind that changing those will change what a lot of other things look like.
