Installation not working . . . how do I fix?

I have two copies of Directory Opus on two computers. The application works fine on the first one, but does not function well at all on the second one.

Both show as "current" with valid certificate, but something is terribly wrong with the second one.

The one that does work--the first one--appears to be Version 11 Pro. The one that does not work--the second one--appears to be Version 12 Pro. My records show that I purchased this Directory Opus on-line on 12/4/2017.

What goes wrong? When you do what? Is there an error message?
