Installing DOpus in WinXP under a guest user's profile

Hi,

I've always been a loyal Total Commander user, and just checked DOpus out of curiosity. To say the least, I am smashed by the number of features and degree of flexibility of this program. I have downloaded the 60-day evaluation version, and am currently trying to go through the many settings. In brief, so far it seems to be the program I was looking for: ultimately flexible & powerful.
But words aside, I've installed one copy on each my home desktop and laptop. However, in my office I have a Windows XP-based system, and our corporate standards are extremely strict, i.e. no third-party software can be installed. However, I managed to install Total Commander as it does not write any files into the c:\windows\system32 or other system directories, so you can be relatively sure the system's security is not compromised.
Now, my question is: if I want to install DOpus on my office desktop, will it write any files to the system directory?
I suspect the answer would be "yes" as DOpus has so many installation options, including "Replace Explorer as file-handler," but I just wanted to check with you.
If the answer is indeed "yes", are there still ways of installing DOpus if I don't have the Administrator's rights?

As far as I know Opus doesn't need to copy any files to System32; however, it does need to create several entries in the registry, including under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT which the Guest account shouldn't have access to.

i can add that it's at least worth a try. in our office we have no admin rights either under XP. it's a system where all software is assigned as packages from a remote server (any updates or new software is installed right after start-up.
I can't say for sure if our accounts are set or restricted to the same rights as a normal guest account, or if we have just a bit more rights.
but although i cannot install software that does write files into the System32 folder, i can install DOpus successfully.

thanks for sharing - I will definitely give it a try. Not sure what will happen when/if it gets discovered, but I'm too tempted.
the more I'm using DOpus the more addicted to it I'm getting  too bad I don't have enough time to sit and spend time learning it
Total CMD seems like a remote past to me now
I mean no harm to TCMD--as I said earlier, it's a great thing otherwise I wouldn't have bought it a couple of years ago--but... they're just different leagues with DOpus

this is what I get when I install DOpus under a user's profile. This is the only window that pops us, and it does so at the very end of the installation process.

I hit Ignore and it said it could not create Uninstall key.
The program seems to be working correctly, but I still wonder what kind of impact (if any) this incomplete installation may have in terms of the program's performance/completeness.
