Is there ANYTHING close to Opus for Mac?

Currently using FORKLIFT and it's better than finder, but man I miss Opus when on the Mac.

One feature of finder I like back when, don't know if it still acts like this as I last used a Mac back in 2007.

Was the way the one could go down in to directory structure and the parent left would slide to the left panel and still be visible.
