Is this possible? - display a folder tree rooted at a folder

Is there any way to display a folder ree on teh LHS that is rooted to a specific folder?

and ideally when a locked tab is selected the folder tree would be rooted at the same locked location.

this would encourage me to use specific tabs for specific folders and their sub trees and keep the folder tree simpler and faster

The closest you can get is to root the tree at the current drive. No way to root it at a particular folder, though.

I believe it is/was possible in windows explorer, see this article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q130510/

Opus isn't Windows Explorer though, is it?

I know its not, it would just declutter the folder tree in those cases when a tab was dedicated to a particualr folder ands its children (ie locked)

future enhancement?

Seems interesting... I'd not have cared BEFORE I started using locked folder tabs - which I have recently.

I'd appreciate this alot. I lock my tabs and rename them and try keep them dedicated to certain folders and their children. I often end up outside the parent folder. Would be a great feature!

There is a workaround using subst e.g.

subst x: "c:\my folder"

subst a drive letter to the folder you want and then open the new drive.

You can set it up so that the subst mappings are auotmatically restored at reboot.
