How would you ever get any work done with that as a background image? 
I can't believe I just saw this month old reply to my screenshot! lol Guess I spend too much time looking in the support sections here rather than keeping a daily eye on these others.
To answer your question Jon, it is a problem. More than you might realize because I have similar yet different backgrounds set up in all my primary folders. To rectify the potential distraction problem I have one special lister style set up to replace all ummm shall I say scenic backgrounds? With a generic brushed metal background that I can lock into place with the format lock tool.
I call that style my "there's kids or clients nearby and I don't want to have to explain this" style.
