Hello, long-time user, just updated to version 13 (great support for dark mode!). Is there a way to retain a folder's focus and to not collapse it when switching to another drive -- so that when switching back to the initial drive's folder tree and window it looks just the same as it was before the drive switch? Thanks for the great support!
Thanks, but I believe that a pinned folder is permanently expanded. I'm hoping to just have any folder tree that was expanded before the drive switch stay that way when returning to it after viewing a different drive.
Turn off Preferences / Folder Tree / Expand/Collapse / Collapse non-selected branches and it won't collapse.
Thanks Leo, that works, but you end up with a lot of non-collapsed branches (rather a mess). The behavior of collapsing non-selected branches is desirable - I am just hoping that switching drives wouldn't count as non-selecting the expanded folder on the original drive. If not supported now, perhaps this is something to add to the list for a future version...
If you switch from one drive to another, the old drive is no longer selected. Not sure how it could work any other way.
Agreed - no reason to keep the old drive selected -- just need to remember what folder was previously selected and expanded on that drive and return it to that state when the user returns to (i.e., re-selects) that drive.
