Keep my files selected as before when I re-activate a lister

Hi!
I work in dual display.
In the first display, I select some files. Then I go to the other display to do some work.
When I return to the first display (by clicking in the background), my selected files are no longer selected.
Is there any option that would prevent this behaviour and keep my files selected as before I changed displays?

Turn off Preferences / File Displays / Mouse / Allow file selection when clicking to switch source/destination state.

Clicking on an empty spot on the tab bar or location bar to change the dual display lister also saves the file selections even if the above setting is turned on.

Clicking on the tab bar works fine indeed, but I'd rather have the possibility of clicking on an empty spot in the lister itself. A question of habit.
