Keeping files in /dopusdata?

I usually put files that I use with Dopus, or want to keep together with Dopus (might be a .txt note) somewhere in /dopusdata, for example in a subfolder of /icons. Some folders seem to work, some don't.

I put the files there so that they will be included in my regular config-backups.
Thing is, I'm never sure if DOpus, some day, decides to clean up all my stuff. For example with theme cleanup. Or maybe not include them in the config-backups anymore.

Is there a preferred way to handle this?

There’s a User Data folder for that.

Do you mean /dopusdata/User data/ folder ? I can put anything in there and DOpus will leave it alone?

Yes. Did you look at the link?

  • User Data - You can store anything you wish in this folder and it will be included in configuration backups and USB exports.
