Hey,
I'm trying to replicate a feature I've had since I can remember in v13. I would like to highlight all recent files and folders. I've set up two label definitions. One for items made within the last five minutes with a yellow background. I made a second one, same yellow but less saturated for files made within an hour.
The, I went into Filters and set them to:
time match modified within 5 minutes
time match modified within 10 hours
I don't remember how I got these filters to apply automatically. I can right-click on any file and manually assign it one of my two labels, but it always worked automatically before. What am I missing and can this process be made less complex?
I've tried there, too. Perhaps I'm now doing it too many places? I've used the wildcard * but when I do that, everything turns yellow, not just recent files.
I removed the filters, so I have Label Definition, where I name the label and create the effect it has on the display - a yellow background for the applied label.
Then I go into Label Assignments where I create a wildcard label. I've named them Recent and Less recent as in the definitions. I set the wildcard to *. use Match Full path, set type to Files and Folders and the label appropriately. I don't use Stop on Match. If I activate these Assignments, all files and folders in the lister go yellow. Now I have removed the filters, I no longer have the time element.
Okay, so I've gone back to Filters and created two, Recent and Less recent. I've unchecked my label assignments. I have two Label Definitions - Recent and Less Recent. I have the two Label assignments that are unchecked with the same names. Time-based labelling is still not working for me.
