Left click acts like ctrl+left click

left click and ctrl+left click act the same.

example: L-click on 3 files, one after another and all 3 stay selected, L-click on a selected file and it is unselected and the others stay selected.

very confusing and does not allow drag-drop of a selection of files because after making the selection L-click and hold just unselects the file clicked on.

also cannot ctrl+L-click to drag a copy.

How do I turn this off?

Seems like you in Power-Mode: Check what you see in View-menu.
