Left doubleclick + alt + ctrl in filetype events

hello

is it possible to add custom events for file types?

i want to open a folder in a new tab on the other side. the logical hotkey would be left doubleclick + alt + ctrl but that doesn't work.
in the filetype dialog it is not possible to add custom event elements. is it possible to add them somewhere else? in a config file for example?

Doesn't Ctrl + double click already do what you want?

Regards, AB

go openindual doesn't open a new Tab. The command to do this would be go newtab openindual but I'm afraid it's not possible to add a new Event for this. So you'll have to edit an existing one you never use or assign it to the terrible "middle doubleclick".

What's terrible about middle doubleclick?

Good Question...
Thinking about this the obvious thing is that the wheel Button needs more pressure for a click. But what I really dislike is the feeling in my finger combined with the sound it makes. It's a little bit like creaking joints for me.
Maybe I can treat this phobia to get used to it.

So its the middle button on your mouse that's the problem.

Mice makers do seem to have neglected that button in many cases, it's true. Hard to accurately click on many mice, without accidentally scrolling etc. at the same time. (I use MMB for going backwards in games, so I've got a completely separate mouse for playing games to the one I use for applications.)
