Less than useful dispay by Image Viewer

I have many pictures (jpg files) from digital cameras which display in what seems to be to be a correct and useful manner on my monitor using Windows Photo Viewer (the old one, not the current Photos app).

However, the Opus viewer displays many, I think most, of these in a size that's too large for my monitor resulting in a display of only a fraction of the picture with scroll bars.

Doesn't happen for every picture. May be a function of the camera the picture came from. Not sure about that.

Is there any way to control the display from the viewer to be more useful?

This is actually mostly curiosity. I have no compelling reason to use the Opus viewer at the moment (though I might if Windows Photo Viewer becomes unavailable in the future).

What's your setting in > preferences > viewer > behaviour > reset zoom for every image? I would say 'fit to page', or whatever the exact wording for the first option is (having a german version here), should be the right option.

You can set the Opus viewer to display things in whatever size you want.

Yes Fit To Page seems to work well. Thanks.

Haven't figured that one out, yet, but abr's suggestion works well for my purposes.
