Link to Lister exclude documents like .xlsx or .docx

I'm using version 13.15 with the "Link both ways" enabled, which works perfectly for image files. However, when clicking on document files (e.g., Word, Excel, PDF), the Viewer turn red and displays errors like:

• "This Microsoft Office document could not be displayed..."
• "Unable to load [file] as a picture"
  Is there a way to exclude document files from triggering the Viewer?

Did you check > Viewer Plugins > MetaPlugin already? Sounds like you could tweak something here, at least for the PDFs. There are several boxes you can tick on or off.

I unchecked some of them but it's still the same.

Yea, don’t click on them with the viewer open and linked (i.e. set to show the selected file).

If you want to make those documents work in the viewer, the red message says what to do.

It's quite inconvenience tbh, I have 2 displays and often use one to show images and one for document files.
I mean some program has an option to exclude certain file types. I hope that in the future DO viewer will have it too
