Lister column add/hide omits obvious usability tweaks

right-mouse-click on the column-header-row shows
a list of available columns
if one were able to hold down as one adds/removes fields
and have the list persist instead of disappear

and have a list of most-often-used-fields
global and user-specific-history

those would be hugely useful

and very easy to implement, presumably ?

your thoughts ?

If you want to add/remove lots of columns at once, it's best to open the Folder Options dialog, where you can do just that with a couple of extra clicks.

A "favorites" category of columns isn't a bad idea, although you can already do that by creating menus with the Set COLUMNSTOGGLE command in.
